RadioTec® Radiation protection glazing
RadioTec® radiation protection glazing is used wherever transparent protection against ionizing radiation is necessary, in X-ray rooms, operating theatres, dental practices, laboratories and in material testing. It can be designed as viewing windows, panoramic glazing or corner glazing.
The special composition of the radiation protection glass offers protection against gamma and X-rays in medicine, technology and research. The glass contains lead oxide and is therefore slightly yellowish. In comparison to plastic, high absorption values are achieved with low glass thickness and the glass has a higher resistance to scratching.
Standard radiation protection glass has the fracture behaviour of a float glass and can be protected with a panel of clear laminated safety glass (LSG) on each side of the frame.
Lead equivalent ≤ 8 mm.
