ProTec Burglar-resistant glass and frames
In areas where security is an important factor and transfer of light or visual observation is essential, the installation of tested burglar-resistant glazing elements meet the requirements of DIN EN 1627. These windows are subjected to a practical break-in test to ensure that there is no weak point in the overall construction (frame, glazing bead, glass). The installed elements meet the requirements of RC2, RC3 and RC4.
|DIN EN 1627||Period of resistance||Type of burglar / method used|
|RC2||3 min||Opportunist burglars using simple tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, chocks, etc., to force open the locked component.|
|RC3||5 min||Practiced criminals using an additional screwdriver and crowbar to break open the locked element.|
|RC4||10 min||Experienced criminals using impact tools, saws and cordless drills.|
