ProTec Burglar-resistant glass and frames

In areas where security is an important factor and transfer of light or visual observation is essential, the installation of tested burglar-resistant glazing elements meet the requirements of DIN EN 1627. These windows are subjected to a practical break-in test to ensure that there is no weak point in the overall construction (frame, glazing bead, glass). The installed elements meet the requirements of RC2, RC3 and RC4.

DIN EN 1627 Period of resistance Type of burglar / method used
RC2 3 min Opportunist burglars using simple tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, chocks, etc., to force open the locked component.
RC3 5 min Practiced criminals using an additional screwdriver and crowbar to break open the locked element.
RC4 10 min Experienced criminals using impact tools, saws and cordless drills.
